Plan for time

The key is # 1 here is preparation. You must practice a well thought out plan.

If you don't already have a written practice plan, start now. This allows you to keep things fast and you players on track.

Quickly the transition to new drilling

This goes back to preparation. You must have a plan and know exactly what drill is next. the last thing that you want to do is to think in between drilling and try to figure out what to do. Everyone runs to the next place and to keep things moving.

Choose drills that are quickly becoming

Children enjoy exercises that require that they run around and be active at a time.Things like dribble through cones and chairs with great ways to keep them going.

Use versatile drills

It is nicer to use exercises that a range of skills.Children choose fun basketball exercises as dribble by cones, passing, and shooting a lay rather than a simple lay up drill. This is also a better use of practice time.

Consider using stations

Four-minute stations works great for a large group of young players. just a station set up in each basket or in different areas of the gym with a coach or a parent on each one. you set for dribble in one area and chairs set to another area for Musical slides cones.

The team to split into small groups and explain how each station works for them in.

When 4 minutes expires, the flute goes off and the children Rotate clockwise to the next station. have you 6 stations, then it takes 24 minutes to finish the entire series. you can experiment with the time, but with great summer camps, we've found that 4 minutes is just enough time to show off the boric and let the children practice for a few minutes.

Kids really love this fun asketball drills because things change constantly and rapidly.

Some exercises move faster if you have some State helpers to keep things moving, so put your assistant coaches and parents in order for you to keep track of practice flows as smoothly as possible.

Keep everyone busy. no waiting in lines.

You will need to choose exercises that complement the number of players, balls and baskets that you have, but there will be times when you an activity which do not allow for the participation of the entire group.
