When I talk to a new basketball coach, is I it doesn't take long to figure out that what they want more than anything else when they come online new basketball exercises which they can use with their team.
More than plays, articles, conversation, or anything else, his basketball coaches, buses, especially the beginning interested in learning new drilling. that's understandable, especially for buses in the middle of a busy season.
Many new drills are immediately useful ... they can usually be be put to use right away with almost every team in a way that does not ...Often, exercises the coach to take immediate action.
Still ... it is very important for all buses to do a few things with each new exercises that you discover.
First, consider whether the drill useful for your team and your system is.Some basketball drills looks great, but don't really fit well with your system. Some require more resources (baskets, balls, players or coaches) than you have available. some make use of your resources less efficient than others.
Second, consider the major foundations that the basketball drill develops and ready to learn when you drill.Drilling is the framework for you to learn. performing exercises only to perform exercises is usually a waste of time.
Focus on the key learning points with every drill you perform. Emphasize fundamental development and good education with all of your exercises and plays.
My experience has shown that the often miss coaching points, more than the actual basketball drills, are the keys to good coaching. working with these points in everything that you as a basketball coach is doing.
